The Girl Power Project

Is a DMV-based cohort of young mentees who are exclusively female. The program is based in Southeast Washington, DC., which use to be Dyanna's residence. Her close ties to the area led her to select Southeast, believing it to be the finest way to give back to that specific sector of the city.

The initiative offers innovative ways to lower crime rates overall and gun violence in particular. It protects female adolescents from 6 to 19 years old from violence. Youth participate in vibrant, creative cohorts during the sessions. Workshops have included movie and game nights, flower planting, food nutrition, spa days, and bracelet making. Participants gain self-esteem strengthening, youth mentoring, and an overall sisterhood in addition to the artistic aspects.

Our tagline: "Creativity Isn't A Crime" is our philosophy, and our cohorts provide a secure environment for females to chat, chew, and create.

If you would like for your female child to participate ages (6-19), please visit our contact page to send an inquiry.
